The Washington Demon’s and Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling teams will be in action tonight as they travel to HLV for a quadrangular along with BGM.

Both Washington and Mid-Prairie saw each other at the Solon tournament this past weekend, and are looking to get more than just one win tonight in the duals.

BGM and HLV will not have a full lineup, while Mid-Prairie and Washington will fill every weight class.

Washington head coach Brent Van Weelden said Mid-Prairie will be a battle tonight, and that his team will need to be ready.

“Mid-Prairie has a good line-up this year and coach Garvey over there has done a really nice job, and that’s going to be a task for us, we’re going to have to come ready to wrestle against Mid-Prairie and we’ve seen them a couple of times at Solon, and there have been some close matches, we’ve won a couple and they’ve won a couple, so it will be interesting to see how that one fans out,” Van Weelden said.

Mid-Prairie head coach Justin Garvey said he is just looking for his team to get back to being more aggressive.

“I’m looking for us to get back to that aggressive style of wrestling that we were at at the beginning of the season, like I said earlier we kind of got away from that in the last two weeks, and I think it was just a little bit of fatigue on the younder guys, they’re not used to a schedule like that, so I’m looking to get back to that aggressive in your face style that we started out with,” Garvey said.

The meet is at HLV with first match on the mat at 6:00 P.M.
