The Mid-Prairie boy’s basketball team picks their season backup tonight when they travel to North Cedar.

The boy’s are 5-1 after a great first half of the season. They are shooting 42 percent from the field and 55 percent from the free throw line and scoring 57 points per game.

They are led by Dayton Hall with 70 points and Reid Miller with 62.

North Cedar is 5-2 and is shooting 40 percent from the field, 67 percent from the free throw line and scoring 60 points per game.

The Knights are led by Marshall Shedeck with 101 points and 48 rebounds.

Golden Hawk head coach Chris Kern said North Cedar is one of those teams that no matter how good you are, it is always a tough game.

“North Cedar’s a team that has been a bur in our saddle for the last few years they’ve been really tough, and they’re a team that is at the tough of the conference again, and they just continue to be a really tough team,” Kern said. “There is nothing we’d like better than to come back from break and playing well up there at North Cedar.”
