The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team wanted another shot at North Cedar after the Knights beat the Hawks by 40 in Clarence in the first game after winter break. Friday night Mid-Prairie got their second chance but fell to North Cedar 63-50 in Wellman. The Knights grabbed an advantage early and led 28-18 at halftime. Mid-Prairie trailed by 11 going into the fourth quarter and the cut the North Cedar lead to seven but could get no closer. The Golden Hawks were led by Dayton Hall’s 13 points. Mid-Prairie is now 8-9 overall and 5-7 in Cedar Valley Conference play. The Golden Hawks will next be in action tonight against rival Solon catch all of the action on KCII and KCIIradio.com following the girls game.
