The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls will play a make up game tonight against Clear Creek Amana.

The No. 4 ranked Golden Hawks are 7-2 coming into the game, shooting 36 percent from the floor and 45 percent from the free throw line.

Mariah Swartzentruber continues to lead the Hawks with 107 points on the year.

The Clippers are 6-6 and shooting 38 percent from the field and 65 percent from the free throw line.

They are led by Mariah Fligg with 140 points and Tara Walls with 108.

Golden Hawk head coach Marc Pennington said his team has avenged two losses from last year this year, he’d like to make it three tonight.

“We’re probably play against the best post player all year, and we felt like we kind of gave one away last year, we didn’t play well at all, after that game is kind of where we took off, so we’re looking to avenge that a little bit, but so far we beat Washington and Mediapolis, two teams that got us last year so the next one on the list is Clear Creek,” Pennington said.
