A new resource for downtown Washington residents should be be underway soon. The city is now in possession of a recently purchased dumpster that will be used to collect recyclable materials.  The city approved purchase of a new dumpster from Luke’s Sanitation last month. To save on delivery cost, Washington City Council Member Bob Shepherd drove out of state to bring it back. He says that once a few bins are constructed to divide materials within the dumpster, it will be placed in the alleyway behind the library.  Getting convenient recycling for downtown residents has been a city priority that’s years in the making.
