Those affected by the proposed Richmond lagoon sewer system are being asked for input on when a public work session should take place. At this morning’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting a discussion on the situation in Richmond led to some preliminary plans for a work session to either be held at the Richmond New Life Center or Kalona Community Center. Supervisor Jack Seward Jr., who prompted the discussion, said he’d like to give residents time to form a presentation on an alternative way to address the issues. The board is now asking those that would like to be apart of this to contact them with suggestions. A decision is expected to be made at next week’s meeting.
