Any child turning 3 or 4 years of age before September 16, 2024 can be registered for Preschool at Stewart Elementary. They offer both 3 and 4-year-old programs. The 4-year-old preschool is a free full-day program, and the 3-year old program is half-days and tuition based but scholarships are available. Both programs are in session Monday-Thursday. Open registration is from February 1 – March 8. Any student registering after March 8th will be considered after those registered on time. Parents and guardians can stop in the Stewart office or call 319-653-3244 to sign up. After signing up, information will be sent through the mail. Sign up is not based on first come, first serve. All students are equally considered if registered between February 1st through March 8th. If there are more registrations than available spots for students, they will use a matrix to determine enrollment. You can contact the office with any questions.
