A new resource is available at area libraries that will help with anything from test prep to basic computer skills. According to Washington Library Director, Debbie Stanton, state funds have made the LearningExpress Library program available to all libraries in Iowa. She says it was Iowa Library Services answer to the widespread closings of workforce development offices, including the one in Washington. The free online program is available on their website and features ACT and SAT test prep, military tests as well as basic reading, math and computer skill courses.

The program is being funded on a trial basis that ends on December 31st of this year. Stanton says at that time Iowa’s participation in LearningExpress Library will be reevaluated.
