The WACO girl’s basketball team went into the break sitting at 4-6.

The Lady Warriors are scoring 36.4 points per game and shooting 30.5 percent from the field.

WACO followed up an opening three game losing streak with a three game winning streak, but that was followed up with three more loses. WACO capped the first half of the season with a win.

Aaliyah Brown is the leading scorer with 112 points and 68 rebounds.

Head coach Shannon Rugg said with back to back games this weekend, he plans to use them to see where his team is.

“We’ll just go out and compete as hard as we can and try and get better and use [Holy Trinity] to work on our bench a little more, and try to get them to coming along, and some of that new stuff we’ll try to run during that game to get some of the timing down,” Rugg said.

WACO plays Lone Tree on Friday and then Holy Trinity on Saturday.
