A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy has pled guilty to reckless driving. Kirk Bailey was cited in mid-November for the Unlawful Passing of a School Bus, first offense. According to online court records he entered a written plea of not guilty before the original court date set in December.
After a few continuances and a motion to amend the charges, Bailey entered a written plea of guilty to reckless driving on Monday in Washington County Magistrate Court. He has been ordered to pay a total of $465.
According to Assistant Jefferson County Attorney, Patrick McAven, their office handled the case due to the conflict of interest.
