The Washington Community School District Board of Education’s meeting tonight includes a discussion about a boiler at the high school. The old section of the new high school building has a boiler that has been described as being at the end of its useful life.  Superintendent Mike Jorgenson has outlined several possible options for replacing it. One would involve expansion of an existing geothermal well.  That expense might mean a bond referendum is required, and a vote could happen take place in the summer.

The school board also might go into closed session to discuss the superintendent’s annual evaluation.  The board meeting is tonight at 7 in the new high school media center.
