With the potential for a winter storm, local road crews are gearing up. Washington Maintenance and Construction Supervisor JJ Bell says the salt trucks are loaded, adding they spent a portion of yesterday making sure everything is ready to go. He says once the snow starts they’ll pre-salt the priority areas in the city. Washington County Maintenance Superintendent JP Van Sickle tells KCII News they’re getting the equipment prepared. He shares that during the winter months they stay ready for winter storms, whether that means keeping an eye on salt supplies or making sure all of the trucks in running order.
