IMS plays tonight for a chance to go to the sub-state championship tonight when they go to Mid-Prairie High School to play Lynnville-Sully.

IMS is shooting 54 percent from the field and scoring 71 points per game, in the postseason they have outscored their opponents 157-103.

Peyton Thompson , who has scored a dozen three pointers so far this postseason is the leading scorer for Iowa Mennonite with 431 points. Behind him is Cameron Gingerich with 368 and Dallas Nye with 299.

Co-South Iowa Cedar League champions Lynnville- Sully has a 20-3 record into this game and is shooting 43 percent from the field and scoring 56 points per game.

They have allowed an average of 29.5 points per game in the postseason.

Lynnville-Sully’s top scorer is TJ Cunningham with 257 points and Nathan Russel with 235 points.

IMS head coach Dwight Gingerich said his team needs to work on the game, while driving in the lane.

“We certainly have to be more mindful in penetrating, it’s something we’ve been struggling with at different times, it got a little better during critical times of the game, and then kind of broke down once we pulled away, and I think that is a concentration issue at times,” Gingerich said.
