Lone Tree’s Forbes Puts Up 39 Points in Double-Double

Lone Tree won their sub-state basketball game on Saturday and is moving on to the state basketball tournament.

They beat Dunkerton 68-55 after putting up 24 first quarter points to Dunkerton’s 11, but in the fourth quarter was outscored 14-7.

Lone Tree was led by Bryan Forbes and his double-double of 39 points and 14 rebounds. Trent Gosnell was the second leading scorer coming off the bench with eight.

Lone Tree is the only team of three that played at a sub-state game on Saturday to make it to Des Moines.

Lone Tree will play on Monday March 4th against Boydon-Hall.
