David Mathis, 53, of Chicago was arrested at Riverside Casino Saturday afternoon, according to a press release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Mathis was arrested February 23 for possession of a controlled substance – marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In a separate incident, at 11:04 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, a call of an erratic driver in the southbound lanes of Highway 218 near Highway 22 was received by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. According to the call, the vehicle was in both of the southbound lanes and had gone off of the roadway a few times.

Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a search. Gerardo Nam/Nunez, 18, of Columbus Junction was arrested for driving without a driver’s license (x3) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A passenger in the vehicle also faces charges following the incident. Jesus Alberto Nam/Amigon, 19, of Columbus Junction was cited with possession of drug paraphernalia.
