Washington County Extension Office has two programs coming up for continuing education for manure applicators.  One program is for commercial manure applicators and confinement manure applicators that mostly handle and apply dry or solid manure.  The certification workshop is free.  It is offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The class fulfills part of certification requirements.  This program differs from other manure certification because it has a focus on stockpiling and handling. It’s the afternoon of Monday February 18.

Another workshop is a shorter program for confinement site manure applicators.  That workshop is the evening of February 12.
