The Washington City Council will meet in special session to discuss the budget this evening. This will be the last budget workshop according to City Administrator Brent Hinson. The council will hear from the different groups in the city that receive annual funding, like the Chamber of Commerce and Paws and More Animal Shelter. Hinson says after tonight’s workshop, they’ll look at setting the date for the budget hearing during their regular meeting next week.
The hearing has been tentatively set for the March 6th.
