The building at 415 West Madison Street in Washington has been shut down due to unsafe levels of methamphetamine residues, following an executed search warrant on Monday. The building will remain shut down until it is cleaned and tested. Thirty-two year old Travis James Hartman of Washington was arrested at the scene and charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, a class B felony and he could face up to 25 years incarcerated.

The same day, 20-year-old Justin Allan Dennis of Washington was arrested at 414 West Jefferson Street in Washington and charged with possession with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, a class C felony.

The Washington Louisa County Narcotics Task Force, the Washington Police Department, Washington County Ambulance, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Fire Department and the Department of Narcotics Enforcement responded to the incidents.
