Cold Weather Keeps Runners of the Track

With the cold weather, the outdoor track and field season has been stalled for many teams.

With the cancellation of three meets for Washington already, including the Washington Relays, a meet at Columbus Junction for the girls scheduled for today, and a JV meet scheduled for March 26.

According to Accuweather, the forecast for next week shows highs in the 40’s scattered from 41 to 47.

Washington does have a varsity meet scheduled for Monday, but with the JV meet already canceled for Tuesday, head coach Steve Roth says it may be another meet canceled.

The Demon’s will hope that West Burlington will keep their meet going with the boys on Monday and the girls on Tuesday.
