Columbus Junction had two players make honorable mention on the All Southeast Iowa Superconference team.

Ricky Rivers and Chase Finke were the two players selected from the Wildcats. Rivers had 246 points on the season, 56 rebounds, 41 assists and 34 steals, while Finke led the team with 281 points on the year.

Head coach Mark Beerends said he would have liked to have seen them on second team, because without them, Columbus Junction’s improvement from last year would have not shown.

“Well when we were talking in the all-conference meeting I was really trying to get Ricky and Chase on the second team as much as possible, because without those two our team our team really didn’t have the success and improvement that they showed over the whole year,” Beerends said.

Columbus Junction went 1-21, but in the one win, Rivers went for 26, while Finke had 18.
