The Columbus Community School District is considering an early start to next school year.A public hearing is being held at Roundy Elementary School in Columbus Junction tonight at 6pm.
Residents and property owners within the district will have an opportunity to go in front of the Columbus School’s Board of Directors, or submit a written argument for or against an early start. The board will make a decision once they’ve reviewed the objections.
Superintendent Marlene Johnson says 360 parent and teacher surveys show a strong interest in the proposal.
