Drought Conditions Lift in Southeast Iowa

Iowa is beginning to see some relief from a drought that began last summer. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor over the last month the moderate drought lifted in Washington County. At its worst, from August to October, the Drought Monitor classified southeast Iowa’s drought as extreme. According to the drought outlook, conditions in the state of Iowa are expected to improve over the next few months.
