Highland had three players make the all conference list and two honorable mentions for boy’s basketball.

First up is Jake Hootman on the first team, Hootman had team leading 384 points on the year and 138 rebounds. He also had 70 assists, 47 steals and 17 blocks.

The second first team player is Talon MacFarland who was second on the team in points with 354 and rebounds with 127, and added 50 steals as well.

Head coach Marcus Hall said to have as many kids on the All-Conference list is awesome for the team since they play in a conference with IMS and Lone Tree.

“The fact that we had a few guys make the all-conference team is a testament to our team and the overall improvement, in a conference with IMS and Lone Tree and only 10 spots per all-conference team, those guys are going to take up a lot, so the fact that we had two guys elected [for first team] shows a lot of improvement,” Hall said.

On the second team, Highland had Josh Brase who had 270 points, 111 rebounds, 64 assists, 32 steals and 14 blocks.

Finally Highland had two honorable mentions in Brad Lampe and Trent Megchelsen.

Highland’s season was ended by Lone Tree in the district tournament. They finished 14-9 on the year.
