As a proactive measure, the Keota School District is preparing a plan to enact, should they run into financial problems. According to Keota School Board President Jared Lyle, at their last meeting the board unanimously chose Mid-Prairie as the district they would partner with. He says due to less state funding, the district is at a point where they can’t make any additional cuts without affecting education. He explains it will be a few years until they’d have to seriously consider this plan b. The board will continue to work on the plan at future meetings.
