The Washington Demon girls had a champion last night at Mt. Pleasant.

Sammy Ellingson hopped 5’2” in the high jump to give herself the win, with her teammate Lauren Kimball finishing fifth with a jump of 4’10”.

Other top finishes for the girls was Joni Erwin in the shot put finishing second with a throw of 35’1”

The girl’s shuttle hurdle relay finished third with a time of 1:13.26 with the team of Kaitlin Buchholz, Emma Wood, Ellingson and Kimball. Buchholz also finished fifth in the 100 hurdles, and second in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:12.33.

The girl’s 4×200 was third with a time of 1:52, Morgan Kimball was third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.94, the sprint medley finished second with a time of 2:01, the 4×400 finished second with a time of 4:20, and the girls Distance Medley Relay was third with a time of 4:44.11.

The lady Demons will also be off until next week as they take a break over the Holiday weekend and for break from school.
