Lone Tree had five players make the all-conference list this season and two honorable mentions.
The first player on the list is Bryan Forbes. Forbes had a conference leading 646 points this season, along with shooting over 50 percent from the field, 44 percent from the three point arc and 83 percent from the free throw line.
He coupled all of his offensive stats with a team leading 242 rebounds, 119 assists, 119 steals and 52 blocks.
Head coach Tom Squires said that Forbes is a player that comes around once in a lifetime.
“[He was] a kid that in my 25 years of coaching, put more time into basketball probably than any kid that I’ve ever coached,” Squires said. “Constantly in the gym, watching film doing whatever he had to do to make himself and his team better.”
Other first teamers were Logan Forbes who had 199 points, and 144 rebounds and 54 steals, as well as Gabe Lorack who had 254 points, 128 rebounds, 42 assists and 45 steals.
The second team member was Andy Dodson who had 250 points on the year, 44 assists and 43 steals.
Honorable mentions for Lone Tree were Lucas Sieverding and Trent Gosnell.
Lone Tree was eliminated in the first round of the state tournament by the eventual repeat state champions Boyden-Hull, and finished with a record of 25-2.
