The Mid-Prairie Jazz Band is advancing to the Iowa Jazz Championships. David Kunz, Mid-Prairie Band Director, says they placed 2nd in Class 2A in the southeast Iowa region at last weekend’s district contest. That qualified them for the championships, scheduled for Thursday, April 18th in Des Moines.
He adds the jazz band will join the concert band for a performance at 7:15 tonight at the high school.
