A training for pork producers and others who need certification in the Pork Quality Assurance Plus program will be able to attend a session in Washington on March 28th from 7 to 9 p.m. The program is provided by the Iowa Pork Industry Center and the ISU Extension Office.
Tom Miller, ISU swine program specialist, will teach the certification course at the Washington County Extension Office.
Extension Office assistant Nancy Adrian says, “Anyone who plans to attend should let us know as soon as possible to ensure that we have adequate materials for everyone.” There is a $25 cost for the program and is payable at the door. To preregister, contact the extension office.
