Potential facility improvements and SIAC parent recommendations were a hot topic at the Washington County School Board meeting last night. The Board discussed different solutions to solve heating issues, including patching a boiler, replacing a boiler or introducing geothermal technology.

Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgenson said, “The board is willing to consider petitions brought forward by parents for any facility improvements.”

Multiple board members stated that they hope to get more parent involvement before next month’s meeting in Brighton, at which time they hope to act on the boiler issue.
