The board of supervisors held a portion of their meeting in closed session yesterday. When they returned to open session the board approved, on a 4 to 1 vote, to authorize the County Attorney to file a summary judgment motion with regard to the lawsuit filed by Residents for a Better Richmond against the Washington County Board of Supervisors.

County Attorney Larry Brock explains that this is where one party states they believe the facts will have the court rule in its favor, the other party then gets a chance to refute the claim. The next step is for Brock’s office to draft the motion.
