Vandalism May Be ‘Related’

A truck that was stolen Monday evening from Riverside was recovered yesterday morning and is being processed for evidence, reports Sheriff Jerry Dunbar. Also, multiple instances of vandalism over Monday night were reported. Dunbar says that the incidents may be related.

Reported Tuesday, were three car break-ins in Riverside, a car break in with a broken passenger side window occurred both in Wellman and Washington and a business was broken into and damaged on Highway 92 in Ainsworth. The same night, a car belonging to Pleasantview Home in Kalona was driven into JW’s Foods; the driver is unknown at this time.

Dunbar adds that there are no suspects at this time. The incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the cases is asked to contact law enforcement at 653-2107.
