A non-profit and a local school are teaming up today to package meals for children in developing countries. Today, WACO High School, in partnership with On His Path, will be packaging meals for Kids Against Hunger. According to Director of On His Path, Emily Ferguson, the goal is to package 100,000 meals. She says not only are the students donating their time, they’re also raising money through a loose change drive to help On His Path pay for the supplies. She notes the packaged meals will go to places like Guatemala, Haiti, and the other countries that On His Path has focused their efforts.
Following the packaging event, the community is invited to the WACO Student Council’s 4th Annual Hoops to Help Alumni Basketball games at 6. On His Path is headquartered in Wayland.
