The Washington and IMS girls ran at the Central Indoor track meet on Saturday morning, and here is a look at both team’s top results from the meet.

For IMS their best finish was Riley Schmieder in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:51.84 good for 20th place. Other top performances for IMS were Renee Buckwalter finishing 29th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:55.32 and the 4×200 team of Anya Slabaugh, Kristin Davis, Schmieder and Buckwalter finishing 34th with a time of 2:07.63.

On the Demon’s side, they had multiple top 10 finishes at the meet, including a first place relay. The 4×200 meter relay team of Macy Merek, Rachael Hall, Natalee Enfield and Stephanie Fishback got first place with a time of 1.54.85, a time that sits 15th in the entire state.

Other top finishes for Washington were Joni Erwin finishing 7th in the shot with a throw of 35’1”, Sammy Ellingson and Lauren Kimball finishing first and second in the high jump, both clearing five feet.

Macy Merek finished third in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.46 and Kaitlin Buchholz finished 10th in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.34.

The 4×800 meter relay team of Mariah Reighard, Aubrey Zimmer, Kimball and Buchholz finished 10th with a time of 11:19.85. Reighard also finished 5th in the 400 with a time of 66.16, and the Demons 4×400 meter relay team of Grace Redlinger, Ellingson, Hall and Fishback finished 5th with a time of 4:34.84.

IMS and Washington both wrap up their indoor season with the meet, as the Demons will go to the outdoor season on Friday when they travel to Columbus, and IMS with wait until April 4 at Danville
