With the Drake Relays qualification ending tomorrow, Washington has a final home meet tonight that they can try and qualify with.

Currently the best chance for the boys is Alex Coker in the Long jump who is tied for 23rd in the entire state. If Coker can get healthy and jump again tonight, he could have one more shot to better his jump.

The Washington 4×100 meter relay is teetering on the edge of making it or not making it, sitting tied for 82nd in the entire state.

Head coach Steve Roth said there is some history between him and the 4×100 meter relay at Drake, and that all they need is one handoff.

“It’s been 28 years, I’ve been here 37 and we’ve only missed [the 4×100 at drake] once,” Roth said. “We’re on the bubble now, I thought we were 82nd last year, and we ended up 79th, so a lot of teams don’t declare, but the 4×100 is in trouble. I always say we’re a handoff away, and we just can’t all four get on the same page, and I don’t blame that on them, I blame that on me, it’s my fault that we haven’t be able to work on handoffs that much.”

The Demon boys are scheduled to host the Last Chance Relays tonight at 4:15.
