Tonight marks another large track and field meet in Iowa at WACO.

The Eckstrand Relays at WACO will be a 16 boy’s and girl’s team track meet with teams packed into one stadium for the night.

The meet will feature most of the teams in Southeast Iowa, and will have two of almost all of the field events working at the same time.

WACO head boy’s coach Shannon Rugg said this could be one of the largest meets in Iowa.

“We have our big co-ed Eckstrand relays here, there are 16 boy’s and 16 girl’s teams here, which hopefully it is good weather,” Rugg said. “It gets over about 9:30, and it just runs pretty smooth, so if you are looking for something to do [tonight] come down to Wayland and watch a good track meet.”

Tonight’s Eckstrand relays are at WACO high school with a 4:30 start time.
