Flooding Continues in Southeast Iowa

As of 11 a.m. today, the English River at Kalona has water at 18.7 feet, flood stage for the area is 14 feet. The record high stage may have been broken Friday morning when with preliminary reports ranging from 22.4 to 22.6. The record was set in 1993 at 22.5 feet.

The Iowa River near Lone Tree at 20.4 feet and flood stage for the area is 15 feet. The Iowa River at Columbus Junction is at 25.3 feet with flood stage for the area being 19 feet. And the Iowa River at Wapello has risen 1.2 feet in the past 24 hours, with waters at 27.9 feet; flood stage for the area is 20 feet.
