An event focused on getting Iowa’s students interested in science, technology and engineering careers will feature a presentation from a local business. CEO of Grasshorse Studios in Winfield, Stephen Jennings, will talk to students at the Virtual Reality Education Pathfinders Innovation Showcase in Altoona on Tuesday. Jennings, who’s also the owner and founder of the animation company, says it’s important for a number of local industries for area youth to pursue careers in these fields.

Locally, Winfield- Mt. Union School District, Washington Junior High, and Mid-Prairie Middle School are involved with the VREP program.
