IMS soccer extended their winning streak to six over the weekend, when they won their home tournament, beating both Fairfield and Ft. Madison in shutouts.

The first match for IMS was a 7-0 rout over the Bloodhounds, as IMS was up 4-0 at the half, giving the bench some time to get into the game and see some action.

Two players for IMS had hat tricks with Reggie Hostetler and Enrique Sanchez, and Dillon Bender added the seventh goal.

The championship game was much closer with Fairfield.

The goal came early in the game from a cross pass by Spencer Schrock and then a header by Dillon Bender to score the only goal in the match and make it 1-0.

Head coach Marcus Miller said the backline of his team played strong, and was the main reason IMS kept the score 1-0 the rest of the game.

IMS is now 8-2, has won six in a row, and plays back to back games tonight and tomorrow. Tonight they host Wapello at 6, and tomorrow they go to Iowa City Regina.
