Congratulations to Mariah Reigard of the Washington Track and Field team, who signed her letter of intent to run at St. Ambrose in the Quad Cities yesterday.
Reigard has run all four years of her high school career, and played basketball as well.
Head girls coach Sefanie Tchantz has been with Reigard for all four years, and says she can run anything from a 200 to an 800, and through the years has really built up her confidence.
Reigard said that signing was something she has been excited about for a long time, and now that it is done, it is kind of weight off her shoulders.
“It’s really exciting, I’ve been excited for this since we scheduled it, going to a four year institution to run is just really exciting to me ,” Reigard said. “I’m really look forward to it and to see what I can do.”
You can see Reigard run with the Washington track team here at home on Thursday.
