The Mid-Prairie boy’s soccer team travels to No. 2 Iowa City Regina tonight.

Mid-Prairie is coming off the 5-0 win over Washington and looking to play spoilers against Regina.

The Golden Hawks are 2-2 on the season, with 34 goals and just six allowed. Austin Errthum leads the way with 10 goals on the season and nine assists, while Wyatt Cady has six goals and one assist.

On Regina’s side of things, they are 1-0, after beating Decorah 2-1, and having their game against Bettendorf postponed.

Their leading scorer is A.J. Adam, he has both of Regina’s goals on the year.

Mid-Prairie head coach Pat Cady says no matter how many people Regina loses, they always seem to come back with a good team.

“[They’re] always a solid club, even if they have four or five guys graduate they’re going to have two or three club players come back in to replace them, and that’s huge,” Cady said. “They’ll play possession, they’ll try and win the balls off of you, they’ll hip you, they’ll anything in order to dominate the game and get in your head and this Is where our kids have to realize that Mid-Prairie soccer has moved up to the next level, and they’re going to have to step up and play the game that Regina wants to play.”

Tonight match at Regina starts at 4:30.
