The Mid-Prairie girl’s golf team played at an 11 team golf meet last night and finished fourth.
The Golden Hawks were the only 3A school in the field and shot a 422 total, while Pleasant Valley won the meet with a 349.
Maddie Gent was the low score for the Golden Hawks with a 96, placing her 10th in the meet. Other scorers for Mid-Prairie were Summer Gracey with a 102, Courtney Cayton with a 109 and Shelly Palmer with a 115. Out of the scoring rounds were Allyson Wertz with a 116 and Sydney Scarff with a 121.
Head coach Tracy McArtor said this is the best finish at the Linn Mar meet that his team has had in the six years that he has been there.
Mid-Prairie will play again on Friday at Iowa Valley.
