The Iowa National Guard is hosting a re-dedication ceremony tomorrow at 1 in the afternoon to commemorate the completed renovation of the Washington Readiness Center. The Iowa National Guard leadership and government officials will be present.

The facility was originally constructed in 1984 and the $2 million project includes a complete renovation of the facility including upgrading electrical, a new fire detection system, and a new boiler, among other things.

Colonel Greg Hapgood explains, the readiness center is home to the 294th Medical Company, approximately 100 soldiers are based here.
