Donald Mapel

Funeral Services for 76 year-old Donald Mapel of Lone Tree will be at 10am Wednesday, April 24th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lone Tree. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23rd, from 4-7pm with a 7pm prayer service at The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal service at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lone Tree. The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is handling the arrangements.

National Guard to Host Event

Tree Giveaway Today

One-hundred-twenty trees will be handed out this morning beginning at 8 a.m. to residents of Washington. The Washington Tree Committee is having its 23rd Tree Giveaway today on the east side of the square. Small ornamentals, medium sized trees and evergreens will be available for free for those who show up. Linda Varney, with the Tree Committee, reminds residents to call 811 before digging.
