Following a survey of Riverside’s trees, some have been designated for removal. According to City Administrator Rusty Rogerson, the state Department of Natural Resources has a list of trees on city property that a tree surveyor found to be diseased or hollow. He says the budget allows for six of those trees to be taken care of this year. Bob’s Tree Service out of Kalona will be removing the trees early next month.
