A parent/student transition night is being held Tuesday for students with disabilities and their parents to help answer questions about that the future holds as the students approach adulthood. The Grant Wood AEA is sponsoring the event that gives parents and students information about independent living, life after high school, college requirements and assistance available for young people who may need it. Some of the presenters will include employers, representatives from support service agencies, and college admissions officers, plus there will be 17 different booths with additional information.

The public event will be Tuesday night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the AEA office, which is located in Cedar Rapids. The office serves Benton, Linn, Jones, Iowa, Johnson, Cedar and Washington counties. For more information call 319-399-6700.
