A few projects in Kalona will begin sometime in the next month. At Monday’s City Council meeting, two proposals for LL Pelling’s roadwork services were accepted. One project will include a chip seal coat on the pool parking lot and the road that leads to the pool at Kalona Park for around $5,900. The other project bid at $9,800 involves repair work on 14th street.
City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh says they want to get these projects done this spring, before things get busy.
