Washington County’s unemployment rate for March was 4.4-percent, reports the Iowa Workforce Development. It has fallen nearly a percentage point from February, which was at 5.3-percent. The state’s unemployment rate for March was 4.9-percent while the nation’s came in at 7.6-percent.

Keokuk County’s unemployment rate dropped last month to 6-percent, from its 7-percent mark in February. Louisa County’s rate dropped by nearly a percentage point to 5.5. Henry County is at 6-percent, Johnson County is at 3.4-percent and Jefferson County is at 5.9 percent.
