Along with a new schedule, WACO High School will begin offering ways to make-up for failed classes this fall. The Credit Recovery program will allow students to use their plus one Fridays to earn back the credit and not fall behind.

According to High School Principal Todd Werner, students will gain the credit by focusing on certain units they struggled with, instead of having to take the entire class again. Werner adds the goal is to have kids graduate on time.

With the new 4+1 schedule, in exchange for longer school days Monday through Thursday, Fridays are set aside for remediation and enrichment activities.
