WACO, Highland, Sigourney, Lone Tree and Winfield Mt. Union all gathered at WACO last night for the Warrior relays.

Sigourney was the top team with 82 points, Highland was third with 80, WACO fifth with 61, Lone Tree seventh with 50 and WMU ninth with 34.

Here are the top three performances in the races.

In the 400 meter dash it was Lone Tree’s Riley Stumpf taking the win with a  time of 52.42, behind him was Highland’s Chris Ford and in third WMU’s Max Fricke.

Highland grabbed a win in the 800 meter dash with Zach Popham with a time of 2:05.68, WACO took second and third with Klinton Garrett and Braden Blake.

In the 1600 meter run, Highland snagged second and third with Evan Mahler and Keiffer Sexton, but Mahler wasn’t done as he came out and won the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:35.16, with WACO’s Jorge Chacone finishing third.

WACO’s Dylan Carlson took home the 110 meter high hurdles with a time of 15.75, Kevin Weber of Sigourney was second. Sigourney did take the 400 meter hurdle title with Eddie Conrad with a  time of 1:00.21.

In the field events Sigourney went first and second in the high jump with Brandon Stuhr winning on misses at 5’10”, Blake Gretter of Sigourney and Kevin Anderson of WACO tied for second.

Logan Forbes won the Shot for Lone Tree, with a throw of 43’1”, while WMU’s Kyle Davis was third.

Finally in the relays, in the 4×100 meter relay WACO was second in a time of 45.96, in the 4×200 Highland was second with a time of 1:37.22, while Lone Tree was third. In the 4×800 Sigourney took the win with a time of 8:49.92, they also won the 1600 sprint medley with a time of 3:53.56, Highland was second and WMU was third.

Sigourney grabbed second in the shuttle hurdle, with WACO in second, and Lone Tree won the final race of the night in the 4×400 with a time of 3:44.54, WMU was third.
