The ImPACT Concussion Testing was been adopted by the Washington School Board at their meeting Wednesday night in Brighton. Beginning in the fall, student athletes participating in sports where contact may occur will take part in the ImPACT testing. Athletes take a test on a computer prior to starting practice for a sports season, this test will then provide a cognitive baseline score for each athlete in case a concussion happens. Should an athlete get a concussion, he or she will then take a post injury test to evaluate their condition prior to returning to the sport.
